Web service interruption. It appears that one of our recent system upgrades is likely the cause of the web service interruption. We are making progress with the issue but we cannot put an exact time on how much longer it will take to recover from this issue.

Mail deliveries are delayed by approximately 60 minutes and normal deliveries resume within the next two hours.

The mail system is back in production. For the last 24 months the mail system has been holding at 99.91% up time. With this recent outage we have dropped to 99.52% up time.

We apologize for the inconvenience this service interruption has caused.

The mail system is undergoing more extensive repairs than anticipated. We cannot give a specific time for mail production to resume but our best guess at this time is it will be mid afternoon before full mail service is resumed.

ABHost.net mail deliveries are slow at this time due to heavy system loads. All mail is being delivered within 20 to 50 minutes of the mail system's receipt. We expect to resolve this issue within the next two hours.

We are monitoring this situation very closely.

A router hardware failure interrupted all services for 3 hours (3:31AM PST to 6:25AM PST).

We have temporary hardware in place and we intend to install the new hardware Wednesday night at 12:00AM PST. The transition to the new hardware should go unnoticed.

We are monitoring this situation very close and we do not expect any additional service interruptions.

There will be a planed MySQL service interruption starting at 1:00 AM PST Sep 08 2005 and lasting approximately 45 minutes.

To minimize the impact of this interruption MySQL will allow reads from the database servers but no writes during most of the scheduled maintenance time.

This maintenance includes new servers and an upgrade to the current version of MySQL v4.

The web control panel is temporally unavailable. We are working on restoring service as quickly as possible.

Service has been restored to the web control panel. This issue was hardware related and has been resolved. The service interruption lasted approximately 48 minutes.

After bringing the new mail servers into production on Friday July 15 2005 and introducing the heavy loads of our production server environment we discovered that the new mail server pool was encountering stability issues that are unacceptable for production mail service.

As a temporary solution we have regressed to the old mail server pool until we can isolate and resolve the performance stability issue in the new pool. We will keep everyone posted when we resolve the issue and transition to the new server pool again.
